Neil Bentley
It all started over 20 years ago. I got 'lucky' and somehow worked my way into, the now legendary, 103.2 Power FM.
I was a 16 year old student with a passion for radio and music. It was like I'd died and gone to heaven. At 17 I presented my first overnight show and a year later moved onto late nights.
Since then it's been a roller coaster ride. Presenting mid-mornings & drivetime on Horizon Radio, taking over the breakfast show at Northants Radio and launching the re-branded B97.
After 2 years in Bedford I decided to make the jump to the North East and landed on the evening show at 96.6 TFM. It was there that I got a chance to really show off my passion for dance music. I created Club TFM and toured around the region, playing at Tall Trees and The Empire.
My show gained recognition and after a couple of years I moved to Galaxy 105 in Leeds. I hosted the mid-morning show, Club Fresh (Galaxy Network) & was executive producer for Alistair Whitehead and David Morales. I DJ'd at all the big clubs and festivals and played in Miami, Ibiza & Tenerife.
After 5 ½ years it was again time to move on. 95.8 Capital FM called and wanted me for the afternoon show. How could I refuse??? I was lucky enough to work with Chris Tarrant & Neil Fox and present on what's considered to be the best radio station on the planet.
In 2006 I moved to Heart. Two years later I signed for drivetime!
Simon Dale
In 1992, having avoided laws against working for free by moving interstate in his home of Australia, Simon approached the radio station TTT in Hobart, offering to file tapes, sweep the carpark; anything. On the third occasion of asking, he was handed a broom.
What followed was nineteen years of madness, success, seven radio stations spread across eight cities in two countries, awards, number one shows... Now, in 2011, the greatest challenge of his career.
Simon is the host of Evenings on the UK's largest commercial radio network, with almost 8 million listeners per week: Heart.
Saffron Bentley
Saffron started her career at Radio Aire in Leeds as most aspiring radio presenters do, making tea for the bosses. It took hard work and determination but she was soon offered a few overnight shows per week. Fast forward 10 years and Saffron has presented her own breakfast, mid morning and afternoon radio shows on stations including Galaxy FM and London's Heart FM.
Along the way Saffron was featured in the new stars of radio in an article for the Radio Times and was presented with Best Newcomer at the 2003 NTL awards.
Since leaving radio to have her first child 3 years ago, Saffron has found her voiceover career gain momentum. She is now one of the main voices for promotion on MTV Europe and has clients varying from Simply Be, Pizza Express and the BBC.
